Emirates Business Women Council and ADBWC will honor ministers and a number of businessmen and businesswomen in the UAE and Abu Dhabi to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their establishment

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak “Mother of the Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Emirates and Abu Dhabi Business Women Councils are holding a huge celebration on Tuesday evening 08 November 2016 at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their establishment.

A number of ministers who supported the march of the two councils will be awarded during the ceremony as well as former chairmen of chambers of commerce in the country, former chairwomen of Emirates and Abu Dhabi business women councils and a number of dignitaries who had a role in the success of the two councils in realizing entrepreneurship and leading businesswomen and women entrepreneurs in the UAE.

Her Excellency Maryam Mohammed Al-Rumaithi, Chairwoman of the Emirates Business Women Council and Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council (ADBWC), said that the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 2001 as a strategic initiative by the Abu Dhabi Chamber to contribute to empowering women in the economic field and providing them with adequate training and expanding their participation in trade and professional businesses as well as encouraging them to create and develop capabilities and showcasing women’s accomplishments in all the domains of the business sector.

“The Abu Dhabi Business Woman Council is the representative of businesswomen in the Emirates Business Woman Council and other similar regional and international organizations. The Council has always participated in conferences and events that look after the economic affairs of women and contributed to increasing their role in the sustainable and comprehensive development process in our country,” she added.

On this occasion, Al-Rumaithi expressed her utmost thanks and sincere appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak “Mother of the Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for their role in supporting the two councils in realizing their ambitious objectives in empowering Emirati women economically. “If not for their Highness support and help, the two councils would not have been able to realizing their objectives and reach such high levels,” she said.
